OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi! My name is Mudbug and I am the most agreeable, cute, little dog. I did not have the best beginnings and spent a lot of my early life outside in a back yard but now I am enjoying living inside with people. . Although I am a bit timid when I first meet you, I am warm and friendly as soon as I know that you are kind. I am not yet accustomed to be picked up and held, but I am learning to like cuddling. My foster Mom likes the way I jiggle when I walk - there is definitely a 'bounce' in my steps. I am presently living with two dogs and three cats and I am friendly with all of them. Baby, the biggest cat in my foster home, did swat me once when I tried too hard to play with her, so now I just play with the others. I know how to 'go potty' outside, but still have occasional accidents inside. I am intelligent and am learning quickly as I am also a good observer of what the other dogs do. I would be a perfect dog for a family or older person/couple or anyone for that maybe since I'm well, perfect! I am sensitive, totally non-aggressive, sweet, respectful, and very 'happy-go-lucky'. I am basically a CALM, as opposed to ENERGETIC, dog, but I do run with joy when I am in the yard outside. My foster Mom has not heard me bark yet, I just watch the other dogs and wonder why they are making such a fuss when there is a squirrel in the tree. I hope you will come see me at the adoption center and I hope you will consider making me a part of your family. Mudbug is a Male Miniature Schnauzer/Terrier Mix that we estimate to be born around 5/1/2017 and weighs 11 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
