About Luna

My fiance and I adopted Luna in June 2017. For the first 3 weeks she was very shy and just getting to know us. She became very comfortable with our families and friends she met in those first few weeks. She also loves her dog cousins Sophie and Burke very much. After those first few weeks, she began to show some aggression towards strangers and people she doesn't know. She barks and lunges, but has never bitten anyone. We have taken her to several vets and trainers and they said she is showing fear aggression towards anyone she is unsure of and barks/lunges to keep them away from her. Our vet suggested we put her on amitriptyline and so she has been on that for a few months to help calm her. She also wears a pheromone collar to relax her. She is a great dog who is trained and listens to us, but since we live in the city and constantly have people over, and would eventually like to start a family, we are afraid because we are unsure if she could hurt someone because she is afraid of them.
