About Tiny Tina

Adoption Fee: $300
Italian Greyhound / Chihuahua
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Say hello to Tiny Tina, an 8 year old Italian Greyhound mix who weighs 7 pounds. She was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter. Her skin was in awful condition and much of her fur was missing. It's likely this was due to flea allergy. We gave her lots of medicated baths and her fur has grown back in. Tiny Tina is housebroken, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is good with other dogs and doesn't mind cats at all. Due to her small size and delicate frame she would not be suitable in a home with young children. She is very timid and skittish at first and takes about 3 days to settle to where she feels safe and begins to trust. We feel she would be happiest if there was another dog at home to gain confidence from and play with. She loves to be outside and will sit for hours on the screened in porch in her favorite chair. We feel she would need a fenced in yard where she can run around safely and burn off energy. Tiny Tina is a long legged, slender girl who loves to chase around in the yard and play. We think she is an Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix based on her ears and general physical attributes and she is really fast when she takes off running. She especially loves the beach and digging in the sand. When not playing, she likes to relax in the sunshine. She is a very sweet and lovable girl and will snuggle any time she has the chance. She likes to be near you on her own terms and can still be a little wary at times. She currently sleeps in bed with her foster mom. It took her 3 weeks to feel comfortable enough to do that, mostly because the resident dogs wouldn't allow it until they got to know her. She is learning to trust more every day and is a total delight to have around. Her new family will need to be patient and allow her to come to them at her own pace but they will be rewarded with endless affection in a very short time. If you feel Tiny Tina would be a good fit in your family, please submit an application to bring this little girl to her forever home.
