About Puppies

The puppies are Harley, Murphy, and Wally. In January, Leslie was seen wandering Highway 70 in Alamogordo and clearly pregnant. She was reportedly a homeless man's dog and he had passed away. For many weeks, we tried to befriend her and get her to safety, but she wouldn't come to us or even enter the dog trap for food. At the end of the month, she finally entered the dog trap. She had given birth and lead us to a demolished building where she hid her 3 pups beneath. The puppies could be heard crying, but we could not be seen and it took hours to get to them. Now they are 9 weeks old and ready for adoption. Leslie, the mom, is a shepherd mix and weighs about 45 pounds. We expect her puppies to be at least 45 pounds and the two larger boys could be over 60 pounds when full grown. Murphy is the smallest and has one white paw tip, Wally is black with lots of brindle brown coloring and Harley has the most white. The puppies currently weigh between 12 and 15 pounds. The adoption fee is $275 for each puppy and proof of puppy vet care and neutering will be required after adoption.
