About Rosie

This sweet girl is Rosie. She is a 3 year old Cattledog mix who weighs about 45 pounds. She and her pups came into rescue and it's now time for this nice momma to get her own home. If you like the looks and size of a Cattledog but don't want the energy commitment, then Rosie is your gal. Rosie is such a sweetheart. She is lovely with people of all ages and genders. She talks in excitement when her people come home. She is also good with dogs of all sizes. She likes to play, too. Based on a short interaction with some kittens, we think she will be good with cats. She does prefer to eat separately from her dog friends. She was underfed in her prior situation and can guard her food a bit from other dogs. It's so easy to manage, though. Just feed separately. Rosie is already house trained and behaves herself when home alone. Rosie will need someone to go slow with leash training and car rides. Those things are new to her, so patience and kindness will be needed to help her see how fun walks can be. She is starting to get some hip dysplasia, so she won't be a dog who can go long distances. She will be just fine for closer to home activities. Mostly, Rosie is a love. With Rosie around, you will never be alone! She wants to be with you always. She loves to cuddle, too. She is the kind of dog that will melt into your heart. Rosie can be placed as an only dog or with one other dog where there are good boundaries. Rosie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. We do not ship our dogs, so adopters must be able to meet and adopt in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
