About HiNui - CHINA MEAT DOG

Adoption Fee: $1500
German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

HiNui was saved from the illegal meat trade in China. She is one of three of our first saved dogs from this horrific life and we hope to be able to continue to save more. Working with rescue's in China, we pay to get these dogs vetted, tested, quarantined and all other requirements to import them to the safety of the rescue in Sebec, Maine. The adoption fee for our dogs we save from China is $1,500 and covers the costs we incur to save this precious souls. HiNui is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm, tick-disease and screw worm tested negative. She has been de-wormed, microchiped and received any necessary monthly preventatives. She has an estimated date of birth of 3rd January 2017. HiNui arrived in the United States on 24th March 2018. HiNui when we first took her out of the crate at the airport was somewhat stressed, clearly not knowing what was going on or happening, but with lots of cuddles and reassurance she settled down, although she does still have a little anxiety, but nothing major just a little insecurity which has diminished over the time she has been her. So, we do expect her to have some anxiety when she leaves the safety of the rescue and her friends and so this must be taken into consideration. She must have a caring family that has the time and patience to let her feel secure. It is nothing major, but definitely we want to make her new family aware of. After she settled HiNu has adapted wonderfully to her new life in the United States, she is great with other dogs, she absolutely loves to play and wrestle and chase her Chinese and American canine friends. She is great with the pups and is totally loving and affectionate with all humans that she meets. HiNui walks ok on the leash, although he does zig-zag a lot which is just because she has not had much practice. She rides wonderfully in the car and does use the dog door to go outside to do her business. It is important to expect accidents as she will once again be having a huge transition in her life. HiNui is a young, high energy girl who needs guidance and training and it is important that she has a family that understands this and has the time and patience to work with her. It is important that they spend time as a family to work on training, setting boundaries and learning each others personality and body language. It is also important to remember that when taking her to new places, caution must be taken to make sure she feels safe and secure, we do not know if any kinds of noises scare her. HiNui is a social girl and has never shown any kind of aggression at all, she lives, eats and sleeps with lots of other dogs and puppies and enjoys the company and so a family with another dog would be great, but if not then it is important that he gets to play and interact with other dogs throughout her life. We do NOT recommend dog parks for several months until a bond and trust and knowing to read his body language has been gained. We do not have cats at the rescue so we cannot comment on how she would be around them, she is very curious and playful and so I would expect chasing at a minimum. HiNui is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue which is located in Sebec, Maine, for an adoption fee of $1,500. This fee covers the costs incurred by the rescue to save this precious soul and get her to the US. The fee is not negotiable. We post in other states and in Canada to ensure our saved dogs get as much exposure as possible and the perfect families are found. Adoptive families MUST travel to the rescue in Sebec, Maine to meet HiNui and if all goes well, take her home with them to start their new wonderful life.%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD Rescuer QingQing: Huniu was rescued in March 20th 2017. Her living condition was so heart-breaking and unbelievable. She has really terrible ear mites and it took us so long to completely cue it. She is such a lovely girl with a soft and tender heart. She didn't lose faith in life after all she had experienced and she has been waiting so long for love and acceptance.
