About PONGO NEEDS A FOSTER

FOSTER NEEDED!! Pongo is such a sweet, beautiful boy! He appears to be husky, yellow lab and shepherd. He is also very active so must have an assertive, active person as his leader. Pongo is just over a year old and weighs about 80lbs. He is friendly with everyone he meets, and he's very affectionate. He is also a VERY smart boy that learns whatever you're trying to teach him in a very short time. Pongo loves his people and just wants to be near them so whether your inside or out, he'll hang around to help you do whatever it is you're doing. If he's with his doggy pal though, he'd rather be off running and wrestling. In his first year, he was not well socialized with other dogs so he is a bit insecure with new dogs when he first meets them. But after just a few minutes, he will run, play and wrestle with other large, neutral tempered playful dogs. He needs a person that will commit to helping him excel in his training and give will give him lots of attention and excercise. Running, jogging and hiking would be ideal! Because Pongo is such a large, rambunctious boy, children over 14yrs old in the home is best. He MUST have a 6ft or taller, securely fenced backyard and until he learns that he's finally found a home and can feel more secure, he should not be left alone for more than a 6hrs per day. Pongo is fully crate and house trained, walks great on a leash and he loves car rides, too.
