About Tokyo, Adopted

Boxer
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

'Hello there! My name is Tokyo and I am about 6 months old. I was born at a shelter and when my fur mom refused to take care of me, the shelter staff jumped in and took care of me. I lived at the shelter until I came to my foster home. Now I'm ready to find my forever home. Like every puppy I want the perfect home. And just what is the perfect home for me you ask? Well let me tell you. Like most white boxers, I am completely deaf. Because of this and the fact that I can't hear them coming, a home without very young children is a must. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, I just need kids that understand that I can't hear and that they need to make sure I see them before they touch me and startle me. Another must have for me is a house. Because I can't hear myself, I tend to bark when I see things I'm unsure of. I'm learning when it's ok to bark and when it's not, but it's a hard thing for a puppy to learn. So an apartment would not be good for me. And if your house has a dog door that would be awesome. I already know how to go in and out all on my own. It would also be a very good thing for me to have a fur friend to play with and learn from. I am very playful and love to play with the other dogs at my foster home. I've been learning all sorts of new stuff here at my foster home and my foster mom says I'm doing really well. I've learned that I am supposed to go potty outside and other than once when it was raining, I haven't had an accident in several weeks. I'm also learning sign language. So far I know the sign for sit and for no. I'm working on others such as come and stay. My foster mom says that with work and patience I can and will learn many other signs. At night I like to sleep in my crate where I am safe from anyone startling me. I also go in my crate when I have to be left alone. For the most part I don't mind going in my crate at all. Every once in a while though, I will bark when I go in but it's only for a few minutes. My foster mom says that in most ways I am just like every other puppy at my age. I love to play, play, play. I am always learning what is ok and what's not ok, I just have to learn some things in different ways, because I can't hear. So that's pretty much what I'm looking for. If you want a sweet, loving puppy and have time and patience, then I am the boy for you!'
