About Vinnie

Adoption Fee: waived
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Vinnie is a very special four-year-old, four-paw declawed male orange tabby cat looking for a loving guardian. Vinnie has been in and out of the shelter since he was a kitten. He was originally brought to Oak Park's Animal Care League when he was found next to a dumpster at eight weeks of age. He was quickly adopted, but found himself back at the shelter when his family moved and could not take him along. Vinnie's first adopters de-clawed him on all four paws. Since then, Vinnie has struggled to find the right family. He has been in and out of foster and adoptive homes, never quite finding the right fit. Vinnie has been back in the ACL program since 2015, and they have gathering information on what Vinnie needs to succeed and be the best cat he can be! Vinnie is currently in a temporary foster home where he runs to the door to greet his foster mom and dad when they arrive home. He has perfect litter box habits, and hops right into a cat carrier to go for a ride. He LOVES car rides. Vinnie's fosters have even taught him to walk on a leash so he can go on extra adventures. Vinnie permanent loving home is out there somewhere. He will make a great companion for the right person. Since Vinnie is quite a handsome guy, the shelter does receive a lot of inquiries for him. However, he will require extra special care (which will be reflected in his adoption process). Please note that Vinnie's adopter will need to be patient and work through his challenges. Whoever goes that extra mile to ensure their relationship gets off on the right foot, will have a fabulous companion for life. Vinnie may enjoy the company of another pet in the home, depending on their personality. He requires an all-adult household. To meet and possibly adopt Vinnie, please fill in the Animal Care League adoption questionnaire here: https://goo.gl/forms/sbe17N2azLK2p1Ha2 and follow up on your application by contacting [email protected] Vinnie's adoption fee has been sponsored and he comes with two in-home consultations with a behaviorist and his favorite puzzle toys.
