About Bambi

BAMBI!! Bambi has been searching for a home for 2.5 YEARS!!! She has bounced from shelter to foster home to boarding to adopter to back to foster. Bambi ended up finding the BEST FAMILY, with 3 little boys whom she adored. They were her favorite part of her new life. Her little boy, who was just 5, had to literally be pried from Bambi's neck as they hopelessly parted ways with her, completely devastated. Her family's relatives didn't like visiting them simply because Bambi was a pitbull. Unfortunately, they returned her for that reason alone. A couple months later Bambi found ANOTHER home, and it was perfect. It was just her and her mom. But, here we go AGAIN. Unforeseen circumstances in her mom's health led to Bambi being surrendered back to us. Not to mention, during all of this, Bambi underwent ACL surgery! Thank goodness she's better than ever now! However, we are at a loss. We have whole heartedly promised Bambi that we would get her a forever family and we won't break that promise. Bambi is housebroken, crate trained, loves riding in the car, snuggling on the couch and in the bed! She doesn't have to be crated because she is well behaved when left alone in the house. Bambi does, however, need to be the only animal in the home. She used to like other animals but since she has been bounced around from shelter, to foster home, to adopter, she just would rather be with people. She is wonderful with children. It is really sad because most times this is the reason dogs sit in the shelter longer than others. It isn't their fault that they prefer to be the only animal, and it's super hard to find families with no pets. We pray sooo hard she can find that person out there!! She is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. She is healthy!!! Her adoption fee has already been paid for by an anonymous donor. She is just looking for that family to love her forever and always! She has BEEN ready to go home with a family!! HELP share this beautiful baby's story!!
