About Chance

We have a very special boy to introduce you to. Meet Chance, a 2 year old Chiweenie (chihuahua/dachshund) who weighs 12 pounds. He has been given a second chance at life. This poor little guy was found as a stray with a broken pelvis and leg, likely due to being hit by a car. Chance was taken to a local vet who kept him comfortable on pain meds while he was on stray hold. Sadly, no one came to claim him. We heard about him and gladly brought him into our rescue so that he could get the medical care he so needed. Our followers also donated to help pay for his surgeries to repair all of the damage. Chance has healed nicely considering how serious his injuries were, but his right rear leg still lacks some flexibility. Chance is very loving and well-adjusted. He gets along great with other dogs and children. He has not been tested with cats. Chance is heartworm negative, microchipped and is housebroken. Chance is playful, gentle and affectionate as well as curious and friendly. His foster parents say he has the most expressive eyes. He is learning to walk on a leash and he is not a barker. This precious boy has been through so much and we are eager for him to start the rest of his life with his forever family.
