About Lindy - WI

Adoption Fee: $400
Catahoula mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Lindy, a perky little love bug with an uncanny ability to express seemingly infinite joy just by wagging her little docked tail! Lindy bonds quickly with the humans who are taking care of her and she's been great with her 10-year-old foster dog pal. She also likes to hang out with other people and dogs, especially other young dogs, once she gets to know them a bit. Lindy has a strong prey instinct, so she'll need a home with no cats. True to her hound roots, she is high energy outside and super lazy in the house. She is very content to lie at your feet or snuggle next to you if she's allowed on the furniture. Lindy is a very polite pup in almost every sense. Her leash walking needs some work, but her foster folks are helping her with that (she's a fast learner!). She does well with two long walks per day plus some time to sniff and play in the yard (high fencing a must). With some training, Lindy would also be a great running or hiking partner. She will fit in well and make a wonderful companion for any type of family. An ideal situation for Lindy will be one in which she has human or canine company much of the time so she doesn't get lonely or bored. If you're looking to add an affectionate, smart, beautiful young dog to your family, look no further; Lindy's the pup you've been looking for! If you are interested in adopting Lindy please email catahoularescuene@gmail and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Lindy's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
