About Nellie

LOOKING FOR A RUNNING PARTNER? WE HAVE THE DOG FOR YOU!!! Nellie was found as a stray in So. IL. Our rescue pulled her from the kill shelter and she was quickly adopted by a family with two other dogs. Unfortunately, Nellie was returned to us after 15 months in her home. Nellie is dog selective. She does okay with some dogs, but definitely not with dominant dogs so we think it best if she go to a home where she can be an only dog. We have also discovered that Nellie LOVES having a crate for herself more than any dog we have ever known. Telling Nellie she can't have her own crate is like telling a teenager she can't have her own room. Nellie is a VERY SPECIAL AND TRULY KIND HEARTED, We do not recommend that Nellie be in a home with kids (or grandkids) under 12 years old.
