About Hadassah

Hadassah is what appears to me to be a Cane Corso Mix likely with chocolate lab and or Pittbull. This is my best guess. She is a large, strong, loyal, curious, funny, protective, somewhat goofy companion who enjoys being with her people. She was discovered on Craigslist and lived with a family with six children, the oldest being an 8 year old girl. There were other small animals on the property as well as a dog aggressive pitt who attacked my dog when we had been cleared to come out of the car. After Hadassah and I got that dog off of my boy, she stood over him and in front of me to prevent another attack. I had been told that their other dog just liked to play rough but this was definitely not play. Hadassah does not like Pittbull dogs so if you have one or live near them, please don't ask about adopting her. The shelter they got her from does not routinely do dog meetings with adopter's current animals. When I saw the more rural area when Hadassah was living I wondered how she would transition to an urban areas. It is far too dynamic for her so please , be in a quiet area with some acreage for her to roam and patrol. This is hands down the best dog I have had inside the house and on my little bit of land. However, due to her lack of socialization and being passed around when young, she does have fearfulness of strangers of which there are.many around when leaving home. I have been working with her and she is much improved on many things. She will do best in a guard breed savvy home. We don't have a lot of visitors but when workers were coming regularly for a few weeks, she did very well as time progress and she learned that they were not a threat. She is a good judge of character. Please, when you contact, have whatever approvals you need as time is if the essence. Rescue groups welcome. Thanks
