OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi Friends, my name is Darby. And if you couldn't tell from my mini mohawk, I'm the coolest, most chill pup this side of White Oak Bayou! But see part of me being super chill is that the world is a bit scary for me, so I tend to my pretty shy and timid. Not much is known about what my life was like before, but I was found in a park all by myse lf, so you can imagine how scary that might have been. But back to the best parts about me, I love car rides and watching the world go by. I get along well with my foster fur siblings, they are great at making me feel at home. I don't even mind my little foster sister, she's really sweet and loves to feed my meals me and pet me when we sit together. If you invite me to sit with you, I'm also a really good snuggler and I sleep quietly in my crate at night. I'm really hoping to find a great family that will be patient and help me come out of my shell, it may take some time but I know I can be the perfect pup you are looking for! Darby is a female Terrier Mix with an estimated DOB 8/22/16 and weighs 17 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
