About fluffy Michael

Howdy do to you! My name is fluffy Michael (to distinguish me from the other Buster's Friends' Michael who's a DSH), and I'm a gentle giant who's a handsome black and white tuxedo Maine Coon/ domestic medium hair mix fella with a big plume of a tail and large jade saucer eyes who was born in December 2011. I'm a sweet, lovable fella who loves to be petted and brushed. Maine Coon mixes are known for their loving natures, calm dispositions, and intelligence. We're delightful companions -- loving and loyal -- who often make soft little chirping sounds (or squeaks) as we go about our day and who often pick up food with our front paws. We're excellent hunters and don't hesitate to go into water. I guess you're wondering why a fantastic dude like me happens to be homeless. Well, I was originally living on the streets as an orphan stray kitten with my siblings. A Good Samaritan found us and turned us into the city pound, and thank heavens Buster's Friends scooped us up and got us into my first foster home. I was adopted by a nice lady with whom I've been living (as a solo pet), but unfortunately her adult children are moving back in with her and, for some reason, I had to go back into Buster's Friends foster care. Heck, I guess some folks can be allergic to my medium hair. Or scared of big cats, even though Maine Coons are usually very patient with kids. Since I've been an only pet for so long, I'm skeptical of dogs and don't like other cats. The jury's still out how I would be with small children. I'm such a sweet fella who would make a great addition to a home that has room for a gentle giant. (I'm a big boy with a loud meow!)
