About Dobby

[Read About Natural Cancer Care] Since September I have been fostering dogs with the MDSPCA. I am currently fostering a sweet little guy who is going to need a special family. Dobby, the amazing 7 year old Puggle, is that dog. Without a doubt, he will bring a lot of joy to his future family. In January, Dobby was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcomas. Unfortunately, they are malignant. However, the good news is that despite the fact that they commonly recur (re-growing in the same location) they are typically slow-growing and they normally do not spread to other areas of the body. His stitches have been removed, but he has several shaved patches on the back half of his body. Unfortunately, Dobby has had urine accidents in our home pretty consistently since he arrived. There have been many days when there have been 0 accidents and days with up to 4. Frequent potty breaks help to minimize them, but we haven't yet figured out how to completely eliminate them (for example, he has accidents when someone is home to let him out). On school nights, he is let out for the last time around 9pm and sometimes wakes me in the middle of the night for a potty break. He does not have accidents at night. Dobby has been living with 3 children (ages 7, 14, and 17), 2 small dogs (Chiweenie and Pomeranian), and 1 assertive large cat in our home, and he fits in perfectly. He is gentle in his interactions with the kids, friendly with the dogs, and ignores the cat. He also did well when a friend visited for a week with her much larger Goldendoodle. Dobby is very calm in the house and does great in a crate when we have to leave. When he first joined us he was content to sleep on a mat next to my bed, but now he sleeps in the bed with me. He has had a weekend away from our family, and he did great sleeping in the crate. Dobby loves walks and enjoys time in our small backyard.
