About LETO

Adoption Fee: $400.00
Lab / German Shepherd
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

** EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS ONLY ** 'LETO' is a lovely, outgoing, 4 month old female, golden-coated Labrador Retriever & German Shepherd mix who we rescued with her siblings when they were abandoned without their mother at the side of a road. She has an effervescent personality. Her ears have just started to 'perk', bringing out the Shepherd in her, though her coat is more the consistency of a Lab. Leto is adorable; both in looks and personality. Leto's amber eyes are gorgeous, and twinkle with smarts & personality, as well as nearly match the color of her coat. Leto's has the 'biggest' personality of her litter; she is fun, smart, sweet, silly, playful, submissive, and very loving. She makes friends with everyone as well as the precious girl loves to cuddle up, rest her head on you and take a nap. It would be optimal if an adoptive family had another, more mature resident dog that could not only be a companion for Leto, but also a teacher that could help Hebe gain confidence as she matures. She is a good sized girl at 35 lbs, she has large paws so will ultimately be a larger dog when full grown. Due to her being a very young puppy, we will only adopt to a family with children over the age of 6 yrs old. Leto has been de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, leash trained, crate-trained and house-trained. (She is still too young to be spayed, as Veterinary research indicates that early spaying/neutering may have a causal link to later-in-life chronic conditions [ex. ACL issues, Cushings, etc.] because of the cut off of growth hormones). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
