About EROS

Adoption Fee: $400.00
Catahoula / German Shepherd
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

** EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS ONLY ** ' 'EROS' is a 4 month old, 35 lb. Catahoula (or Australian Shepherd) & German Shepherd mix male pup we rescued, with his siblings, who had been abandoned without their mother. A happy, loving, sweet, gentle, playful puppy who does terrific with children, other dogs, and generally makes friends with everyone he meets. It would be optimal if an adoptive family had another, more mature resident dog that could not only be a companion for Eros, but also a teacher that could help Eros gain confidence as he matures. Based on his present size at his age, Eros will be a larger dog when fully matured. Due to his being a very young puppy, we will only adopt to a family with children over the age of 6 yrs old. Eros has been de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. Eros is not neutered due to both his young age (his testicles have not fully 'dropped') as well as research showing a correlation between too early neuter/spay and later in life, chronic health conditions. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
