About Copper

Copper is a 3 year old male 10 pound Chihuahua mix that came from a very abusive lifestyle and home. He was born and raised in one household until he came to us when his momma had to rehome Copper and his brother after she filed a protective order against her husband. It wasn't until they came to our rescue and sanctuary that we figured out that the furkids had been abused as well as his momma and her human children. It has led Copper especially to be leary of humans until he learns that he is not in danger. It only takes him a day or two to adapt and learn to trust. Just basically takes a loving hand and a patient understanding family for our sweet Copper. He has quickly became one of my favorites here..
