About Minnie

Minnie is a gorgeous, talkative, fun and sweet, nine-year-old, female, golden-eyed orange tabby Maine Coon-mix cat looking for a loving guardian. Minnie lost her home when her human lost his job and moved out of state. She is extremely loving, soft and gentle. She is very affectionate, truly a people-loving family cat. She was in the laps of her foster family 'kneading' with her paws within minutes of her arrival in her foster home. We don't think Minnie has ever lived with other cats before her current foster situation. While her first love is definitely humans, she is peacefully co-existing in her foster home with eight other cats. It did take a while for her to acclimate with other cats, so she's looking to be your one and only, or willing to share the limelight - but introductions must be slow and gradual. Minnie lets you pick her up, hug her and hold her in your arms. She is very brave and not at all shy. She's not much of a player, but she is active, curious and amazingly outgoing with an adorable squeaky little meow. She uses her litter box and scratching post like a good kitty. Minnie is very healthy, spayed, has all her claws, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and virus-tested. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued dogs and cats of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.
