About Niyah

Dog-lovers... *Austin, Texas* I don't even know how to write this. I feel so incredibly heartbroken even formulating words around this situation. Our HOA is asking that we remove Niyah from our property for obvious breed-based reasoning. I adopted her on August 2nd of 2016. She is a little under 2 and a half years of age. They gave us a week, and it just isn't enough time for us to find tenants for our home and move. We're looking to re-home her to the most suitable person that is looking for a beautiful brindle pup. She has been my babygirl for the last two years. There are a few things we prefer in the process of rehoming her... Someone who has worked with or owned a rescue prior, that we do a home visit, (not mandatory but preferred) to not have other dogs to give her time to acclimate without more introduction, and to have a backyard. I'm a freelancer in production, and though I can work wild hours, my partner and I divide time to give them the attention they need (we also have a chiweenie). She currently goes to the park or out twice a day to play with her Kong frisbee's (Rubber -- They don't break.. Highly recommended). During the summer she does about 25-30 throws to tire out and in winter about 50-55, which averages out about 15-30 minutes of play time each outing. She is crate trained, but will not chew up anything if left out, she often sleeps on the bed and is a big old cuddle-bug, she is incredible attentive, intelligent, loyal, and gentle-hearted. She uses two gentle-leaders to go on walks, but doesn't pull while both are on her. Commands she knows: Sit, Stay, Come, Lay Down, Head Down, Go Potty, Go To Bed She is good with kids, but may still jump, she takes a little bit of time to learn new dogs, and is immediately in love with new humans. She's totally up to date on her vet records. I'm looking for someone who has, not just the time for her, but the heart, because she has mine. Thanks for reading.
