About Bono

Bonneau (Bono) is a South Carolina native, bred, born, and raised in Summerville. He is a 21 year old, chestnut, registered Thoroughbred gelding (Screen Latch) that came into LEARN on April 19, 2011, severely emaciated and covered in rain rot. Bono started in 26 races then, when he was no longer a money maker, he was sold or given away until he finally ended up a starvation case in a back yard. Bonneau is sound and has no lameness issues. He was ridden at one point with a saddle and no saddle pad. He has scaring on his withers from that incident. He is still in recovery but we expect him to be a fantastic hunter/jumper or fox hunter for the right person. Bonneau has trust issues from the lack of care he received. He needs to be a one-person horse.
