OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. An ADORABLE terrier mix with a loving, playful character and a personality to match! He was born the runt of the litter and without front elbow joints. So currently we consider him partial special needs. His foster parents exercise his arms to help along the development of his 'tricep' muscles but really we just mess with him in his sleep! This little exercise c onsists of bending his front legs to fullest extension and back to normal position a few reps at a time with a few sets at a time. This will need to continue indefinitely or until released by the doctor. At 6 months, he will be set up to see a specialist at Gulf Coast to ensure that his front legs will continue to grow and his growth plates close up and develop at a normal rate. His progress since a baby is AMAZING and hopefully this issue won't be a long term one. That being said, it does not seem to affect his everyday life, he is playful and runs and plays like a normal 4.5lb puppy would! He is almost completely potty trained, crate trained and also sleeps in the bed throughout the night without accidents, if you're into having an adorable puppy to cuddle with at night. He is good with cats and dogs of all sizes and ages. But his best friends are his people. Wanna be his person?! Dewberry is a Male Toy Fox Terrier Mix / Beagle Mix that was born around 1/30/2018. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
