About Scooby

We need a home for Scooby ASAP! Scooby can be a very high energy dog and needs daily exercise to calm his mind. We currently have 2 other dogs that Scooby is not getting along with. He will be calm and easy going with them most of the time, but if he gets into a 'heightened or excited state' (for example when the neighbor dogs are in their yard, he will start fighting through the fence with them and then will start fighting with my other two dogs), he will go into attack mode. This is why we feel that he would be best as the only dog in the home. He has also gotten into that same type of situation at the dog park when his play with another dog goes to the next level. He has not spent much time around kids, so we are unsure whether he is good with them. We are working on not jumping up on people currently. He knows sit, stay, shake, lay down, and in to go in the crate. He is crate trained and can currently hold it for about 4-6 hours at a time. He loves to cuddle with his human and is very loving. We hope to find him a home where the owner(s) are experienced dog people and know how to handle his behavioral issues. He is a wonderful dog, and we do not want to surrender him to a shelter.
