About Shosha

SHOSHA is an extremely sweet 10 month old Great Dane neutered male. He has a congenital medical condition called Diaphragmatic Hernia. Shosha's diaphragm has a disruption, which makes his abdominal content such as the stomach, liver, and intestines enter his chest cavity. We did multiple physical exams, x-rays and blood work as well as went to different vets to confirm the diagnosis. Unfortunately, surgery would be too risky for Shosha, so we decided to not do the procedure. Due to his Diaphragmatic Hernia he has a hard time gaining weight. Shosha will have to be on a special diet and a strict feeding schedule of 4 to 5 times a day in order to keep up his weight. Once we properly adjusted his diet, Shosha started gaining weight. Shosha's condition doesn't stop him from being a normal dog! He is a happy pup that is full of energy to run around and play with his foster siblings. He is great with all dogs, cats and children.
