San Antonio, Texas This beautiful soul's name is Poppy! She is approximately 3 years old, and probably had a few litters. When Poppy first came to her foster family's home she was very scared and a little worse for the wear to say the least! A sweetheart, this girl is very trusting, but slow to warm up as she's moved around some. Your very own shadow, she LOVES being close to her human and will follow you everywhere. Poppy will demand attention like only a Dane can as she loves being doted on. A great eater, she will eat everything you give her, so you'll need to help her maintain a healthy weight! Poppy is very playful and wants to be social. She's good with new people and seems to really like men. Unfortunately, she was never given the chance to learn to make fur friends, but she wants to play with the dogs she likes. Poppy would be great in a home where she is the one and only; however a large dog might be okay as long as food and treats are given separately. Her foster mom says she is very smart and will be an ideal dane with a little more love and training. She is leash and kennel trained. A lady, Poppy politely waits for you to fill her bowl before eating and takes treats gently from her foster mom's hand. Be careful of what you leave on the kitchen counter because if she smells something tasty, she will try and snatch it. She is great on walks but needs more training on commands.
