About Belladane

Meet Belladane. Bella for short. She is a Great Dane / St. Bernard mix that is about 4-5 years old and weighs 113 pounds currently. Bella did not have the best past and was fairly neglected with poor diet and flea infestation in her previous home. Since being in foster care and in our program, Bella has a new lease on life, has had a great deal of improvement in her skin, and has brighter days ahead. Bella did have a major surgery on one of her legs in the past and does have some minor soreness issues that seem to come and go depending on her activity level and the weather. She may need helped in and out of the car or may not be up for extra long hikes. Overall, this doesn't seem to slow her down. Once Bella's skin condition is under control she will be spayed through our vet at Wea Animal Hospital. Any potential adopters will need to be able to transport her to this appointment. Bella will have no lasting effects from her skin issues once healed. Proper diet and basic flea prevention would have prevented all of this. Bella has lived with children in the past and does well with dogs. She co-exists with cats but as she has gotten to feel better, she is beginning to be a bit of a pester-er and has played a bit too rough with her kitty fosters. Bella seems to be the most comfortable with other laid-back dogs and gets a bit stressed around other hyper, high energy, playful dogs. In typical St. Bernard fashion, her lazy bones just want to relax. Bella enjoys fenced yards and attention from her people. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
