About Milo

Lab / Pit Bull

A big Texas howdy to you! My name is Milo, and I'm a happy, loving, active, super-smart 50-pound black with a white chest Labrador Retriever/ Pit Bull Terrier mix fella who was born in July 2016. I love all ages of people as well as dogs (with proper introductions), but (true confessions) I'm not good with cats. I love being outdoors and exercising, so my favorite parts of the day are going for walks as well as trips to the dog park. Once I get to the dog park, I'm very good about not running off when I'm off lead unless I get excited about seeing an ole canine buddy. My human companion has been very good about making sure that I got lots of 'good manners' training and that I learn plenty of tricks. So far I can sit, lay, shake hands, give kisses, and eat or drink on command. I'm super intelligent, if I do say so myself, because I can literally learn a new trick in one day if challenged. Pretty good, huh? I'm totally housebroken and know how to communicate when I need to do my business outside (as well as when I want to go for a walkie). I'm such a lovebug that I tend to jump up on people when I get excited, but my human says I'm getting better at learning what 'no jump' means. I just love kids, and I wouldn't want my 50 pounds to knock over a toddler in my puppy-like enthusiasm. Any major slip-up in my manners can usually be chalked up to my still being young and a loving and lovable puppy at heart. I guess you're wondering why a handsome and affable dude like me needs a new home. Well, it broke my human's heart, but the apartment complex where we live has a maximum 25-pound-dog policy, and I obviously exceed the weight limit. So that explains why I need to find another fantastic family to adopt me before my owner has to take me to a shelter. Come meet me today so I can cover your face with puppy kisses! Milo is updated on shots. He will be neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested after he is officially adopted. His adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Milo, and we can arrange for you to meet him. NOTE: Milo is posted as a courtesy to an independent owner in hopes that networking through Buster's Friends' website postings will find a wonderful lifetime home for him. Buster's Friends is committed to reducing the number of animals who are surrendered to shelters and to assuring that fewer animals face the possibility of euthanasia. Courtesy postings for the community is one way that we can achieve this by providing a platform in which animals like Milo remain safe while still being widely seen until he is placed in a permanent home. DISCLAIMER: Milo has never been in the care of Buster's Friends. We can therefore not evaluate his behavior or medical status and not be liable for any damages or injury which he may cause. However, his caregiver will supply all of his vet records. If Milo needs to be returned, he will go back to the home of his independent owner.
