About Jackie Boy

Jackie is the sweetest boy ever! He's shy and loving...and just a wee bit awkward...just enough to make him all that more adorable. We believe Jackie is 8ish years old. He came into rescue when both of his people died within 11 months of one another...leaving him and his brother orphans. Sadly, they were then dumped at a high kill shelter. They were terrified ...and for the first time - alone in the world. What else could go wrong...right? Well it did....Jackie was so terrified upon arrival at the rescue that he wiggled out of his harness and ran like the wind. We were bound and determined to find this little man...and after 2 weeks and many hours of searching we did. Jackie is used to living in an adult household with seniors. He doesn't seem to care much for children so we would like to see him adopted into a quiet, adult only household. He is sweet and cuddly...and grateful for any amount of affection bestowed upon him. He gets along well with other dogs and ignores cats. He likes to sleep in bed under your blankets. And...he LOVES Skittles...yes, the candy. It was actually Skittles that aided us in catching him. Jackie's perfect home would have a fenced in yard - but it's not a requirement. It would probably be in his best interest to meet with his adoptive family a couple of times before going home. Jackie is bonded to his brother Frankie (see him on www.hillhounds.org) - so his home would have to include enough love for two boys.
