About Phoebe

Phoebe is a sweet, beautiful girl. She is the perfect mix of Pit and Carolina Dog. We found her in our neighborhood and took her in. We have been unable to find her previous owners as she had no chip or tags. She is very loyal to us and we have no aggression issues for ourselves but she is aggressive to other people who enter our house out of fear. We have not introduced her to our other dogs so we do not know how she does with dogs. Outside of the house she is not aggressive to anyone or other animals, just in our home. She fortunately has minimal health issues, just an ear infection which we have meds for and is malnourished. She is already gaining weight and on the way to being a healthy girl, she just needs someone who can really work on socialization with humans and other dogs. My wife and I just do not have the time in our schedules to work with her like she needs. She does not have any worms or parasites of any kind. She is now chipped, and has had her major vaccinations: rabies, bordatella, first round of DHPP. The Adoption Fee is to help cover the costs that we have put in to taking care of her with medical and everything, but we are flexible. We just want to find a good home for her. She is a sweet baby and super loyal. If socialized right, she would make a great pet; but could also be trained to work as a protection dog. She would do great in either environment.
