About Davidson

Adoption Fee: $175
Border Collie / Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Davidson, and her sister, Harlie, came to rescue as surrenders due to unfortunate circumstances. They are almost 4 years old and were purchased from a pet store as puppies and labeled as Queensland Border Collies. They are likely a mix of collie and something and Davidson is a little larger than her sister. They are gorgeous girls with the sweetest personalities. They adore children, like car rides, and love attention. We are working on socializing with them. At this time Harlie is reliant on Davidson and Davidson gets protective of Harlie around other dogs and is also the dominant of the pair We are working on individual time to help negate the effects of littermate syndrome and they are doing great. They were also likely not socialized well with other dogs as puppies. Apart they meet other dogs well and are just timid, but together, they get protective of one another. They can be adopted together or apart and if together, to an adopter that understands littermate syndrome and will continue to work on their development apart as well as together (ie, separate leashed walks, separate training times, etc to help them develop independent personalities). They love children and like to play fetch. Both ladies are a bit overweight as well probably weighing over 60 lbs so we will work to get them healthy. They did well testing with cats too! These ladies really are super sweet and they can't get much prettier! Please share their story so hopefully that lifelong home can be found! If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please READ THE ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION LOCATED AT forbellessake.org. Breeds cannot be guaranteed. Fenced yard is required if a yard is present. Adoption fee is $175 and all residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and treated for any other known medical needs.
