3/11/18-S Michael is a male and is 2 yrs old and weighs 9.2 lbs. Vet care was provided $120.80. On physical examination, we found that he does have ear mites in both ears. Ear mites are very pruritic. He is most likely scratching at his ears and face because of these mites and making the sores/wounds that we are seeing on his cheeks, face, and ears. We applied an Acarexx treatment (into both ears) for treatment of the his mites. We also applied Advantage Multi topically which will prevent him from getting more ear mites and fleas for the next 30 days. We also gave an injection of Convenia which is an antibiotic that will last for 2 weeks to treat the wounds on his face. Recheck if the wounds get worse or have not completely healed in 2 weeks.
