About IRIS

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

My brother Salado and I were just little kittens all alone in the world when we walked into a trap the first time, and some well-meaning person took us to get 'fixed.' That's when we woke up and found a piece of our ears missing! We were too small to be on our own, but we were released back into the world anyway, and wouldn't you know it, we walked into a trap again! This time, the person who trapped us didn't mean well, and dumped us at a scary place called a shelter, where we heard them say they were going to kill us just for being scared and homeless! We were just babies! Well, my foster mom found out about us, and came to take us home with her we before we could be killed. We were both very scared, but she was patient. She said I was the brave one, because I decided to see what it was like to let myself be petted, and I really like it! If you look at my fur, you'll see it's very, very beautiful, with so many colors, it's like a rainbow! In fact, I was named for the goddess of the rainbow, because I'm so pretty! I really like to play with other cats, toys, and I really like it when you have a toy to play with me! I have a very dainty little voice, but I like to talk to you and will purr all the time when you pay attention to me! I get along well with other kitties and am fine with easy going dogs. I am spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and have a microchip to make sure I always get home if I ever accidentally find myself outside again! If you think you might like to have a pretty, loving little girl like me as part of your family, talk to my foster mom about becoming my forever home! I am housebroken, always use the litterbox, don't spray, don't scratch up the furniture, and am well-behaved.
