About Maddie and Kyrie

Adoption Fee: 950
Cairn mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Maddie & Kyrie bonded pair Cairn terrier mixes. Maddie 15 lbs & Kyrie 17 lbs. Both 3 years old. Maddie & Kyrie were rescued from a kill shelter in CA. The state they were in was of neglect, fear and sadness. Their owner dropped them off and said he could no longer care for them. We were asked by the shelter to help this bonded pair, and we got them out. They received all the medical care needed, dentals, spayed & neutered, chipped, shots. We bought them back to WA and found them their forever home. Unfortunately it's extremely sad, but after several months in their new home the family's other dog does not want Maddie there at all. We need to find this bonded pair their new home together once again. Their current family is so deeply saddened as they love Maddie & Kyrie deeply. To need to rehome them is breaking their hearts. Maddie is the alpha, and both she and Kyrie are extremely affectionate and loving; they are both very sweet dogs. They will cuddle with each other but also cuddle on the couch with their mum for hours. They like to go on walks and hikes, so they are both active dogs. They do so well on a leash; their mum walks them in a harness. In their new home they will still of course, like any of our dogs, need work on potty training and house training. They both are crate trained in their current home, and have been sleeping together in a large crate. It would be wonderful if Maddie & Kyrie could find a new home where they were the only 2 dogs in the home as Maddie has the alpha female personality . Another playful male who is not dominant would work also. In their previous foster home Maddie loved to play with her male foster friend. Maddie & Kyrie will not be separated and will ONLY be adopted TOGETHER. Please do not apply for one without the other. Both Maddie & Kyrie are spayed & neutered, up to date on their shots, chipped, had dentals, & heart worm negative. They get along with other dogs, and if the children are respectful to animals they are good also. Their previous foster home had a 6 month old and both did very well with her. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting both Maddie & Kyrie together & you have read their listing fully to the end & going through our process of your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed with a meet & greet if it's a good fit with our discretion. Please also only apply if you are truly committed to Maddie & Kyrie & being their everything as well as committed to working on potty training & training. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Maddie & Kyrie have an adoption fee of $950 for the both of them, are you their new forever family? __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life. This truly is a life and death matter for these precious souls. Thank you for your understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Adoption Process All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com.
