About Buster

Lab / Golden Retriever
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

We are looking to rehome our 2 1/2 year old golden/lab cross. We adopted Buster a year ago with high hopes but discovered he is too much for us to handle (like his previous owners). Buster is an amazing dog with HUGE potential for the right family. He is a big love bug that's and amazing hiking buddy. He is a hundred pound lap dog that will be you forever best friend. Buster needs a home with a VERY VERY active family that will bring him where ever they go. He was sterlized (not neutered) so he has a tenancy to pee where he not suppose to the vet assured us as soon as he's neutered this behavior should stop. Buster would be an amazing agility dog as he can clear a 6 foot fence and no longer respects electric fences. He does come home after checking the neighborhood out, this has come to a head with our neighbors and as we have a large farm, two young children and two full time jobs we feel we cannot correct his behavior and it really has gotten dangerous for him. I cannot express how wonderful buster would be to the right family.. Now, I will be seriously checkout anyone that is interested in adopting him. His ideal family would an active retired couple looking for a hiking buddy and a best friend. He is okay with kids and other dogs but he is a BIG testosterone filled boy who doesn't know his size. He accidentally broke my sons collar bone by running into him. He love to play with other dogs but he plays very very hard. Buster has been uprooted once and I really want to make sure this is the last time. Our heart is broken but we cannot provide him the home he truly needs.(*****please no negative comments, we are already heart broken and really don't need any negativity. Also we will require vet references and will make sure Buster goes to the perfect home by doing home visits). Free to good home
