About Whittaker

Meet Whittaker! He is guessed to be about 6 yrs old and weighs about 4.5 lbs. He came to us from Animal Rescue Corps where he was confiscated from a breeder for living in very poor conditions. He is a super sweet boy that just LOVES other dogs. Due to his background we don't think he had much human contact, so he is still pretty shy with human handling and oftentimes will submissive pee when trying to pick him up. Poor guy :( He would do great with an adopter who is willing to work on boosting his confidence through positive experiences and possibly training or sports like canine nosework. We think he would do best in an all adult home, or one with children over 13 yrs. old. We would love to see him go to a home with another dog who can be his friend and playmate. Whittaker's adoption donation is $250. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL.
