About Jessie

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

This is Jessie, she is a beautiful, friendly amazing cat who has had a difficult life. She was adopted about four years ago from a local animal shelter the 19 year old boy who adopted her did so with no forethought and had never owned a pet. Jessie was about 8 weeks old when she came to live in our apartment building, from the start the young man (and his mother) who owned her let her run around outside and truly had no clue how to care for her. Within a year of adopting Jessie the same young man came home with an 8 week old male Pit Bull puppy, of course Jessie was terrified of the dog and was now homeless. Another neighbor in our building took pity on the now homeless kitten and took Jessie in, giving her a loving, caring stable home where she thrived and was happy for over a year. However, her new owner had a family emergency and had to move to the east coast and could not take Jessie with her (meanwhile, the Pit Bull and it's owners have moved away with no regard for Jessie whatsoever). For the past year Jessie has been living with a third person in our building. However, this situation was never meant to be long term as I am allergic to cats and Jessie really needs a forever, loving home. Jessie would do best as an ONLY pet, she does NOT get along with other cats and probabaly would not do well with a dog either. Also, because Jessie spent many years going outside if she were adopted by someone she would need to be a 100% indoor cat, if let out she would always try and find her way 'home'.
