About Murphy

Meet MURPHY, this 18 month old boy has seen a lot in his young life and is looking for the right place to call home. He is an absolutely beautiful boy! Murphy is a coonhound that has always wanted to be someone's spoiled pet and has never been a true 'hunting' dog. He is still a scent hound and will require a fenced yard to keep him safe while he runs and plays. Murphy is a smart boy and has manners even though when over excited he can forget them until you remind him. He is housebroken, leash trained, knows how to use a doggie door, and will sit on command (especially if treats, food or a new toy are involved). Murphy is a vocal dog but uses his voice when he wants attention or is unhappy with things. The ideal home for this boy would be a hands on active owner or family that will include him in their day to day life. He wants to be with you and an extension of your family. Murphy would do best in a home with children over the ages of 10 and no small animals such as cats, rabbits, etc. He can be a bit picky as to his canine friends as of now, so a meet and greet would have to be arranged for other dogs.
