About Neptune

From Neptune's foster mom: 'Since Neptune has arrived in Vermont he has been on a fast learning curve! He knows how to sit to get a treat but sometimes he gets so excited he can't keep his paws on the ground. Neptune has been doing a great job learning that his crate is a safe den to go into and has recently been sleeping through the night. We have been working hard to learn that going potty outside is the best and the last few days he has been able to give more signals like standing by the back door when he needs to go potty. Neptune loves playing fetch with any toy and is usually great at bringing it back to play again. He likes to go for walks and is learning that his leash is not for chewing on but to keep him safe. Neptune is great with other dogs and met some kids the other day too that he was really great with. Neptune will make a great addition to any family!' Fun fact: He has a dew claw on his right hind foot. :) We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are mixed in Neptune. Looking at his appearance, we consider him to be a Shepherd mix. * Based on current veterinary recommendations, Neptune has not been neutered due to his young age. We do require proof of this procedure at a later date as part of the terms of our Adoption Agreement. Please discuss the correct time for this to be done with your veterinarian. We can provide a $75 rebate once the procedure is completed. Our adoption fee is $375 which includes age appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, Rabies), worming, micro- chipping, and health exam.
