About Haydn

We have another awesome boy This boy is called HAYDEN his nickname is Bubba Hayden is 5 yrs old he is a Weimaraner mix reported to be a Lab but we see a little bully breed in him, Hayden is a big strong boy approx 78lbs his coat is soft and shiny and he has a wonderful smile. Haydens Story, This boy has not had the best prior life in fact he nearly lost his life he was minutes away from leaving the shelter in a black bag when we pulled him Hayden was surrendered to the shelter when children provoked him and he snapped and caught one child on the cheek because of his history no one would help him. It is clear this boy had been a target for some time it is also clear this boy was left outside many hours on hard gravel with no interaction, Hayden has been in foster care with his foster daddy since August he has gone through extensive evaluation. Today Hayden is a happy boy and we believe his foster home has been his only real home, He shares the home with a female Weimaraner, Hayden and his foster sister go to doggy day care and frequent trips to the dog park Hayden gets on well at doggy daycare but he would prefer to stay home with his foster daddy. He loves home comforts and is not one for chaos otherwise his dominant side will prevail. He does remain fearful of small children, or too many dominant presences around him. He prefers humans to other dogs Young rambunctious dogs and small dogs will annoy him, For the most time Hayden is a happy laid back boy and the weimaraner trait comes out and he loves to be with his person this is when he is at his happiest. Hayden adores car rides loves to travel and in true weimy form loves to hang his head out of the car window. He loves attention and will bulldoze his way past his foster sister to get it, Hayden has several human friends at the dog park everyone that meets him tends to love him. If he dosent like a person it is rare but he will bark. His foster daddy describes him as loving loyal happy a bulldozer and can be anxious when dad has to leave, Hayden is a little fearful of Thunder and loud noises usually a trait that comes with being left alone and most likely outside, He does know some commands but Hayden can be stubborn another weimaraner trait, Although Haydens only 5 his daddy says he has the personality of an older dog he is just happy around his person that has time to invest in him take him rides and not a lot of chaos, We are now searching for Haydens new home we are looking for a perfect home for Hayden a home that has time for him Hayden in short needs a buddy a human Buddy he does like men and his foster daddy has spent a lot of time with Hayden, He needs a quieter home no chaos No young children small dogs or cats, Hayden would do well with a single male or an older couple and we would suggest he would certainly benefit from being an only dog. Hayden is attached to his foster daddy he has been the only person to show him love and give him a wonderful home. Although his daddy loves him he remains the strong alpha leader so we suggest someone that can maintain a strong leadership Hayden will excel with the right person and home We are also looking for a home with a fenced in yard Hayden loves to sit in the sunshine and potter around the yard, We also need a person that is home most of the day Hayden would not do well being left alone for too long His daddy takes him to doggy day care when he is away for a lengthy period Hayden is current on all vaccinations micro chipped neutered heart worm negative and current on monthly prevention.
