About Schatzie

Schatzie is a beautiful 5 year old German Shepherd. We have had Schatzie and her sister since they were pups and they have been great companions. Unfortunately on a recent RV trip, they got into a fight over food resulting in injuries to both girls. Time heals all wounds, however they can no longer be together and we find ourselves looking for a home for one of the girls. Schatzie is the Alpha of the two, although she did not initiate the fight and taking everything into consideration, we believe she would adapt the best in a new home. She needs to be the only dog in the house and she is not a huge fan of cats. She is extremely loyal and affectionate and loves attention. She is very protective of her people and announces all visitors loudly. She has had very limited interaction with young children, but when she has they have made her nervous. She is used to teenagers being around and enjoys their attention once inside the house. She is best suited for a single person or a couple with out young kids, and she is used to someone being home most of the time. She requires a fenced in yard and loves to be outside basking in the sun or playing in the snow, but she prefers to be with her people. She has never been crated and is on a grain free diet.
