*ANGUS IS IN DIRE NEED OF A NEW FOSTER.* He has been diagnosed with IVDD in his lumbar spine, a disease in which one of his intervertebral discs bulge or herniate into the spinal cord space. He needs to see a veterinary neurology specialist in the Sarasota-Bradenton area for a detailed diagnosis, and thus needs a foster in this greater geographic area. He will need to be kept mostly on crate rest to minimize pain and movement until we know the extent of his condition. Angus is a 1-year-old Australian cattle dog of 35 lbs. Typical for his breed, he loves human attention and would be fine as an only dog, although he does get along with others. A typical young herding dog, he can be mouthy, but is working on basic commands and manners. He is crate trained, housebroken, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative.
