About Leia

Leia is fostered in Miramar, FL (Broward County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Leia is a border collie mix, DOB 11/23/17. She is around 15 lbs. She will likely be a medium-sized adult dog. Possible breed mixes are mini Aussie or poodle. Leia has a bobtail, unlike her long-tailed siblings. She will require a secure, fenced yard. She has a really lovely temperament, and is somewhat shy. She is loving and sweet with her siblings. She adores children, and is slightly nervous around adults but warms quickly. She also has good toy drive. As with any puppy, Leia will need work with leash training, housebreaking and crate training. Leia's litter survived parvovirus, and as such she cannot go to a home with puppies or dogs who are unvaccinated and/or immunocompromised. Leia will go home with a spay contract - when she is altered at 6 months of age and proof is submitted, $50 of her adoption donation can be refunded. Leia is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventives, and microchipped.
