About Polka Desi Dog

Meet Polka! This young 'Desi Dog' (local term for 'street dog') arrived from India on March 7th. Polka is approximately 5 months old and weighs around 16 lbs. Her breed is listed as India Pariah dog and she resembles a Lab/Terrier mix. She was rescued by KAW, a local rescue group, when she was found with a severe injury to her hind leg. Ultimately, her leg had to be amputated but that has not slowed this little girl down at all! She has fully recovered and adjusted very well to being a tri-pod. Polka is a lover, snuggler, cuddler and quite the kissy girl. She's an absolute sweetie pie!! She is currently being fostered in a home with 3 other dogs, weighing 15-50 lbs and 2 kids (aged 10 and 12). She has blended in with the entire home/pack. We ALSO have a lot of steps and she seems to be doing just fine with them as well :) Polka is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives and will be spayed prior to adoption.
