About Louie

Louie is a precious boy that survived difficult circumstances. He was found in Ft. Worth wandering the streets, weighing only 35lbs. Louie loves other dogs and kids, but takes his time to warm up to men. When Louie first arrived at our home he was fearful of everything. As the days passed he would love attention from everyone in the home but during feeding time or coming home he would retreat. At first he was hoarding his food but soon learned to eat with the pack and sit for treats. I feel Louie's first owner was physically abusive especially during feeding and coming home. He is much better now and is brave enough to try car rides and the dog park. Louie loves being around other dogs. He will bark if he does not know you, but once he knows you will not hurt him, he is a love bug. He is very cautious, if he gets overwhelmed or thinks he is in trouble he will scurry off to the bedroom - where he feels safe. He is completely vetted and house trained with a dog door. Louie will have to be in a home with other dogs so they can show him the way. You will have to be patient with him because of his past experience with humans, but he is worth it.
