About Ally

Ally came to live with me when her owner passed away in 2016. I took her as a favor for a friend. It's been just over 2 years and Ally does NOT like my other cats. I've tried everything I can think of to help them get a long but it's just not working. While I know they aren't going to hurt each other, our living environment is not very relaxing. Ally isn't the cat that wants to sit in your lap or be petted very frequently. Usually after a few strokes on her back, she'll let me know she's had enough (hissing). However, when she's purring, I can pet her a bit more. While she spends a lot of time snoozing in the closet, she seems to enjoy hanging out with me while I get ready for work or in the evenings getting ready for bed. Ally LOVES the wand/mouse toy. She plays hard! She enjoys tuna treats and will let me hand feed her. She's not food aggressive. She really likes drinking water from the faucet, too! Ally was declawed (front only) by her previous owner. I don't know much about her past. She used to live in Florida when her owner bought an RV and traveled to California to help his father after his mother passed away. Her owner got ill soon after and passed away unexpectedly. Ally was last vaccinated in 2016. She won't let me pick her up to get in the crate for a vet visit. I can't help but wonder if being in a house with no other cats would help Ally blossom into the cat that's hiding inside that tough-girl shell. She's clearly not happy here.
