UPDATE- Tito will be cleared medically we hope at the end of this month ( March).....Poor Tito was picked up as a stray in the Miami area with a broken leg as well as fractured bones in his pelvis. When no other rescue stepped up to help him, it was BARC to the rescue! This boxer-blend cutie will get the help he needs and will then be available for adoption, so watch for updates. Update: Tito is a loving and sweet boy, who always wants to cuddle; he has to be touching you if you are close and if you're not, he cries for you to come get him. He loves bones and toys and even with his leg healing, he is ready to roll his ball and chase it. He is ready to run, jump and play and it's easy to tell he's a fighter, with all he's been through; he is an amazingly strong little guy who is still growing. Tito is 9 months old and weighs 42 lbs.; he is housebroken and crate trained and we are working on his leash training (he can only walk long enough to go out and potty at the moment) and he is learning his name and the 'sit' command. Tito only has minimal exposure to the other dog in the house, since he is still healing, but appears very friendly and playful. He does amazing with children; very loving, tolerant and gentle with them. Second update: Tito has learned sit, how to walk on a short leash with a harness (per his physical therapy instructions from the vet), and he is also learning down. He is great in his kennel and goes in easily and stays there for almost eight hours while we are at work. He adores kids and loves to be with people and to snuggle in your lap.
