About Chance

Chance is so happy and sweet, prancing around wagging his tail, that his foster family has dubbed him 'Chancer the Prancer.' Perhaps this handsome 2- to 3-year-old Rattie mix realizes that he got a second chance at life when he was rescued from a shelter by New Rattitude just in the nick of time, right before he was to have been euthanized. When Chance first arrived at his foster home, he was timid and not much to look at with his skinny little frame and skin and ear infections. While he still has a bit of weight to gain at just 11 1/2 lbs., some antibiotics and allergy medicine have restored his great health and adorably good looks. Chance is a 'people' dog, and he loves to cuddle. He gets along great with the other dogs and teen children in his foster home but hasn't been around young children or cats. Chance is house-trained and is learning some basic commands. He's also very good about coming when you call him. He would welcome a job as a mini watchdog, as he likes to bark at things he thinks you need to notice.
