About Spencer

Spencer is a stunningly beautiful 2-year-old, 58lb. Treeing Walker Hound who came into rescue from an owner who didn't have enough time to spend with him. Spencer is a high-energy boy who LOVES to play, and would very much appreciate a family who can spend time with him playing ball, going for walks, and being active. He loves all people, but due to his energy level would probably be too much for small children, so we recommend a house with children over the age of 5. Spencer is smart boy, learned 'sit' in no time at all, has never had an accident since coming to his current foster family (including overnight), and is good about chewing on his own toys rather than yours! Spencer is still young and will need someone who is willing to work with him on manners such as not jumping up when excited and walking nicely on a leash. Due to previously being left alone in a crate for long periods of time he does not tolerate being crated, but does fine being left in a room. Spencer would love a doggy buddy, and would do best with another dog his size who is also energetic and doesn't mind sharing their space.
